Because petroleum biproducts are used in everything from diesel to nylons to pharmacuticals to make-up. Today, algae is the only way to replace the needed hydrocarbons in the the transportation sectors and manufacturing sectors.
This single feedstock can produce biodiesel ethanol, biocrude, renewable diesel, renewable gasoline, and jet fuel.
